Re: Fuel lines Ethanol resistant where can I get them ? The hose on my Evinrude was marked J1527 but not alcohol resistant. So I resued it after my carb rebuild as it was only a yr old and still looked new. While talking to the parts people I did mention both alcohol and ethanol as the gas here is labeled either way at the pumps.

As for draining the excess fuel out of the hose, I just raise the pump handle above my head and let the fuel flow back into the tank, with the pump off. I also wrap the filter end in a zip lock bag to prevent excess fuel spilling into the storage box. Great Product, I would buy this pump again and I recommend it to anyone with my same situation!

Ethanol does reduce mileage and I have heard it damaging engines on other sites. Mostly what I have heard is that it kills fuel pumps. It does not have the same lubrication properties as gasoline. It is a price subsidy for farmers and a bad thing for the enviroment, not to mention consumers. It causes fuel prices to rise and food prices to rise.
